How to Cope With Being a Teen Whose Parents Move a Lot

Did your parents move around a lot (maybe because of the military, or their job)? Do you feel weird being different and strange in a new place when all you knew was your hometown?

This is supposed to help people who have to go through this.

Steps

If someone asks where you’re from, tell them (don’t be afraid of the popularity of your previous place).

Wear something from your previous home. It will give you courage and it reminds you to call or e-mail your friends.

Call or e-mail your friends at the end of your day about what all happened ask them for their point of view.

Walk around the neighborhood.

When you go to school don’t ignore everyone be thankful.

If the popular people offer to help but you don’t like them (like your goth or just don’t like them) you can refuse.

When your at home listen to you or your friends favorite songs to remind you of them.

Make a wish just for fun (hopefully it will come true).

Don’t try to be to mad or sad it drives people off.

Accept what happened even if you don’t like it.

KEEP IN TOUCH WITH FRIENDS, they want to hear what it’s like!

Warnings

It may be rough
